Designer.  Art Director.  Collaborator.

In my 20+ years as a professional graphic designer / art director I’ve learned a few things - okay, more than a few - but this may be the most important:  first and foremost, one has to be a team player. The most successful projects are well conceived, creatively executed, on time and on budget.  This doesn’t happen without people who are able to collaborate and to be passionate about sharing ideas, organizational strategy and work flow.  

Some of my best work has been accomplished on the tightest deadlines - I was responsible for the design and production of over 500,000 quarterly catalogs over the course of 8 years.  And during that time, I learned how critical it is that everyone on the design team take responsibility for collaborating to come up with fresh ideas and maintain the highest quality in design and production.

During the course of my employment with swell.com, I was promoted to Director of Production and Design and had the opportunity to train new team members and mentor existing team members in everything from how to use computer programs, design new visual elements, to best practices in working in a fast-paced, often stressful environment.

At this point in my career, I want to use my skills and experience to bring value and creativity to a company that values innovation and team-work.   You can see more of my specific skills and experience below.
